Units: 50 Format: Kit EC™ Wine Glycerol (Microlab EFA) Description:Glycerol is the product of glycero-pyruvic fermentation and the typical concentration of glycerol varies from 5 to 8 g/l. As a natural component of wine it confers smoothness to the final product. Degradation of the glycerol is negative as it leads to precursor substances of acrolein. These substances, combined with tannins, give a bitter taste to the final product. The EC™ Wine Glycerol (ML EFA) method utilises the differential pH technique combined with a specific software to offer an automatic and direct measurement of glycerol in grapes and wine. Features:
